I have just sent out an internal marketing campaign to inform our sales team about a product launch that will be going live in the next couple of days, the email was sent out to 24 recipients. my snapshot indicates that the 24 emails were delivered ok and that 10 recipients currently haven't opened the email, when I phoned a couple of these sales people they had told me that they had opened and read the email? Are there any reasons why these additional opens might not have registered on my snapshot?
Hi Kyle, the campaign snapshot isn't an entirely accurate measure of actual open rates. For instance, we can only measure an open when the recipient has images enabled in their email client. Many email clients have images blocked by default, thus an email can be opened, but not recorded as such in our reports.
Additionally, viewing a campaign in the preview pane of the email client often doesn't get counted as an open.
