Why isn´t my autoresponder working?

I´ve followed the documentation closely and set up an autoresponder for one of my lists. It´s active and set to immediately send an email upon registration, but it won´t. When new subscribers are added, via my custom application through the API, they show up in the list but for the autoresponder it says "0 emails sent".

Can´t get my head around what i´m doing wrong here.

Hi Mikael, could you kindly double-check that you're not using the batch import API method to add new subscribers? Using this method won't trigger your autoresponders - see our FAQ for details on this.

If this isn't the case, by all means get in touch with our support team and we'll happily take a look at your code and account.

Must have missed that. Yes i´m using the Import method. I think that should be in the API documentation. Thanks!
