with the old editor it was possible to remove even the default content within a repeater.
this way it was possible to remove a whole section (e.g. conceptually speaking a row with 3 columns, each having it's own repeater) of the layout for particular mailings. i tried to achieve this with two layouts for a repeater (one beeing empty) but this threw me an error on template import.
so is there any way except setting up diffrent templates ?
Hi bzoo, to confirm, are you trying to import a template with an empty repeater? Or are you removing all editable sections from a repeater, once it's been imported?
If you could post a code example, that would be a big help - we'd love to get to the bottom of this and determine if it's an editor issue, or something that does require a template update :)
I am also having this issue.
We have created templates with a number of repeaters down the right column (in each section of the newsletter). In the previous version if no content was needed in teh right column for that section, you could simply delete the default.. now you can't.
no the import works fine and the remplate doesn't have any empty repeaters. it's about removing all editable areas in the editor. here is a screenshot and the source that hopefully clarifies what it is all about:
i just want to make it possible for editors to completly remove either the 2-col row or the 2nd row with the 3 columns.
thanx for your help
Just to let you know that we're working on a fix for this. Right now to completely remove a repeater you would need to manually remove the default text and save. We're hard at work on a fix, though. Thanks for reporting the issue.
