I'd like to include a single bcc address that will notify our CRM (Highrise) of the communication with our clients.
Is this possible and where can i set it up?
Hi rob.elliott, welcome to the forums! May I suggest simply adding your CRM's email address to a subscriber list? Then it will receive the campaign when it goes out. Let us know if you have any questions about this.
I also have a similar need at the moment. I thought of your solution above, but this would lose any personalisation in the email. Often this wouldn't be much of a problem, but it would be when using dynamic images and so on.
Do you have any other suggestions on how to record the email communication with the subscriber in our CRM?
Maybe even just provide a link to the web version for each subscriber, which doesn't record tracking...?
Hey there jayc, I must admit I don't have any experience with keeping a record of email campaigns via CRM software, however would it be possible to create a 'faux subscriber' (like I suggested earlier) and adding all the usual personalization a regular subscriber would have?
Alternately, you could add the share link for the campaign and make sure you have suitable fallbacks for your custom fields.
Note that if you're using Dynamics CRM, we have a connector which makes it possible to pull in live campaign results - here's an overview.
Thanks, jayc - these are the options I can think of off the top of my head. Feel more than welcome to bounce ideas off us, although embarrassingly enough, I'm sure customers like you know loads more about CRM software than we do! :D
As far as the CRM goes, all we need is some way to view the email that the subscriber received - whether that is an actual BCC'd copy of the email or just a link to the web version.
Mostly, the generic share link or an email to a 'faux subscriber' would be accurate enough.
However, in the event that we got really fancy with personalisation, with different text and images for various subscribers (maybe one day, conditional content!) - you can see that a generic copy of the email wouldn't be enough... it wouldn't represent the email that they actually received.
For now I'll just go with one of your two solutions as I'm not doing any major personalisation yet, but maybe you can think up a solution for this?

Ho, do you have an update on this topic? We would need the BCC option for compliance, our email archiving system would receive the BCC emails. If that still does not exist and will not be added in near future that could be the reason not to be able to use campaign monitor. Thanks.
Hi, really interested in this topic. We are going to be using automation and workflows and want to record in SugarCRM which of the automated emails each lead has received. I'm researching various app integrations to get this to happen but the easiest way would be to add the bcc address which already links with SugarCRM.
