Can you add or not add an editable image to the multiline tag?
<multiline> <img editable="true" src="image.jpg" width="250"> <p>But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness.</p> </multiline>
If I cannot do this, what would be the alternative for this code.
Hi oneblackcrayon, thank you for your tweet earlier and adding your question here. While it is possible to add an editable image within <multiline> tags, I've been told that it may potentially cause issues in more complex layouts, especially when wrapped by the <layout> tag.
For this reason, I'd recommend placing the <img editable="..."> outside of the <multiline> tags. To create multiple image & text layouts, you can use <repeater> and <layout> tags.
Let us know if placing the <img> outside of the <multiline> is an issue for your design - we're also happy to look at more of your code and suggest alternative ways to achieve the layout you're after. Our support team would be glad to assist with this, too - get in touch if you'd like us to lend a hand. :)
I did place the IMG tag inside the MULTILINE tag earlier in the testing/coding phase and the MULTILINE region became un-editable. My work around was to create separate layouts for that specific issue. Do you have a timetable on if and when this part of the coding system will change? That is just a part of a large issue that I have with the system as a whole in comparison to MC.
Besides that, I am glad that I have had the opportunity to come back to CM and try out the new features.
Thank you for your help Ros! You are a Rockstar!
Hi again Frederick! I just checked in with the team (sorry about the wait) and it looks like a fix to this img/multiline issue is on the radar, but there's no timeline as yet, I'm sorry to say. I've added your input internally, so we'll be in touch when we get this sorted.
In the interim, myself and the team are always happy to assist with alternative layouts and/or workarounds.
We're really glad to have you back on board, by the way! And thank you for your very kind words - it's a real pick me up first thing on a Monday morning :)
Thank you Ros!
You are the best!
