Hotmail's new unsubscribe feature

Does anyone know how the new Unsubscribe feature that Hotmail is rolling out will work on the back-end?

Is there something we need to include in our HTML code or anything to facilitate that? How is Hotmail going to "let the sender know" to unsubscribe the recipients that click the button?

Thanks!

Matt

At a guess, and this is just my theory, is that it will for the most part scan the message for an unsubscribe link and follow the hyperlink.

Hi Matt and Bullchicken, this topic came up a little earlier in the forums. At present, we feature a List-Unsubscribe: URL in email headers, so it's our educated guess for now that Hotmail will simply use this URL to handle unsubscribes. We'll keep you posted as more information comes to light!
