Im creating a template for my clients. I want to create some areas where they can switch out an image but there will be a consistent link that will go to the same place.
I tried to do achieve this with the following code:
<a href= " consistent link URL here" >
<img editable="true" label="Main Edition Picture" src="main-pic.jpg" alt="LATEST EDITION" width="414" />
But it has not been working properly. If I leave my default image in place the link works. But if I switch out the image the link is not functional. I am not sure why this is happening. Does anyone have a suggestion?
Hi Emily, thanks for pointing this out. At present, it isn't possible to keep the link in place when replacing a default image, I'm sorry to say. Admittedly copying the link before replacing the image can be a bit error-prone, so I'll happily take note of this internally and let you know if it's something we change in the future.
Sorry again about this - we really appreciate the feedback here!
<a href= " consistent link URL here" > <strong> <img editable="true" label="Main Edition Picture" src="main-pic.jpg" alt="LATEST EDITION" width="414" /> </strong> </a>
The <strong> tags keep the editor from removing your link, and allow the user to add a different link if they want.
