adding a form to a landing page

I'm wondering if you can add form fields associated with a particular user's email subscription account on the confirmation page.

For instance, the person would sign up by first just submitting their email address.

And then on the confirmation page, they would have the option of completing information like name, zip code, and address (which would be added to their email newsletter account).

Can you let me know? And if yes, how?

Hi lisabagg, this can be done by creating two landing pages/forms, then by changing the subscribe confirmation page on your list to point at the second landing page/form. The only catches are that you'll have to adapt the form code in both instances and that the subscriber will need to provide their email address a second time in order to update other details like name, zip code etc.

Another idea is to adapt our AJAX subscription form so it displays these additional form fields after the initial subscribe process. You will need to pass the email address value alongside some creative coding, so this is certainly the more technically tricky option.

Thank you so much for your response.

Just to clarify: Are there two different lists involved? I'm not sure how to create two landing pages for the same subscription account.

Hi lisa, you can in theory use one list. However as I mentioned above, you will need to do a bit of custom coding to achieve this - perhaps you can consult someone with a bit of web development savvy, or post a job on our 'Find a designer' forum?

Sorry lisa, I should have been more clear that this is a fairly bespoke task.
