Is anyone particularly familiar with how Yahoo! handles Spam? I've had two really big campaigns lately bounce with the reason "Deferred due to user complaints" and directs me to http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/postmaster/errors/421-ts01.html . Other things we are sending to Yahoo! are going through fine, so I don't think we've been blacklisted? However, we send to this same group of 200K every week, and we aren't getting an unusual number of complaints from the feedback loop.
Short of filling our their Postmaster Bulk Sender Form and getting them officially involved, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light onto their process?
We use a double opt-in process for sign ups.
Hi thatscool87, how Yahoo! and other webmail services determine what is spam and what's not is a fairly opaque process. That said, if you contact our team with campaign details, we'd be happy to make suggestions as to why this may have occurred and what can be done in the future.
