I have noticed that when I use the like button from my newsletter that the description used by facebook is simply the first line at the top of the newsletter.
"You are receiving this newsletter because you signed up to receive it.
Having trouble reading this email? View it on your browser. Not interested anymore? Unsubscribe Instantly."
Not real impressive from a marketing standpoint. My question is this:
How do we control what line is used by facebook for the description. Will placing a Meta description tag take care of the issue?

Note that Facebook is notoriously fickle with descriptions (it tends to cache them on occasion), so you may find running your campaign's share link through Facebook's Debugger to be particularly useful.
