I am sending out an HTML email. GMail hides the original message because it thinks it is quoted text and then the receive clicks on "Show Quoted Text" and it appears. Any idea what could be causing this? I am using Kintera (or actually my client uses Kintera to be more precise.) Does this ever happen with Campaign Monitor?
We've not seen it happen - I would suspect something to do with specific formatting in your message. Can you try cutting out pieces and see if it goes away?
Hi extravaganzacreative, welcome to the forums!
The way I understand, this should only happen if you already have an email in your inbox that is more or less identical to the one you're receiving. GMail then organize them in the same thread, and hides whatever content that matches the previous mail.
Could it be that you've sent out a test before sending the actual campaign?
Oh this last thing about threads is probably it. Next week I will try to see if that. Thanks!
