I've only just started using autoresponders now and realised that there's no way to send your self a test email?
I'm about to embark on an epic autoresponder, were going to send out multiple emails during a 30day trial period for a product, and each email is different and needs to be reviewed before we start this autoresponder.
I have no credits in the account as of yet so I haven't started the autoresponder, but I haven't noticed a test email link anywhere, so far I've only seen edit, preview and delete on the actual email.
Is there any chance I've missed this or is this a feature that just hasn't been implemented?
I know features are voted on, but I just thought it was odd that we could create tons of emails for an autoresponder but have no way of testing them :S
Hi eyoung, you're correct - it isn't possible to test autoresponder messages from within that part of the app. However, you can import your autoresponder emails into a regular email campaigns and test it for free there.
I'm happy to add your request for this - it's something we've had a few requests for - and let you know if we add the ability to test autoresponders in this manner in the future. Thanks for the great suggestion! :D
"However, you can import your autoresponder emails into a regular email campaigns and test it for free there. "
Do you mean import templates? If so this dooesn't really help that much becuase it's the email copy + the template that needs testing - ie the 'whole' email. If you mean the whole email then please explain how to import autoresponder emails into a regular email campaigns. I can't see how it's done.
Hi Chris2020, I can likely clarify a few things here :) While it isn't possible to duplicate email content + a template from an autoresponder to a regular campaign for testing, by all means you can copy the content, create a new, regular email campaign based on the same template, then add the content again via the email editor. This is not a one-step process at present, I'm sorry to say, but it certainly is an option until we make it possible to test autoresponders. Does this make sense?
