Love the template builder, it is saving us tons of time.
We have a request which hopefully others may think are a good idea too.
The 640 wide header image... make this editable by the client. I know we can download and edit the template to make this happen but I think it will make the template builder even more brilliant if this option was built in.
Hi SelectMailer, oh, this is absolutely something I'd like to see! We get a few requests for this, so I'll certainly add your vote for this internally and let you know if it's something we change. Thank you very much for passing on this suggestion :D
I would so second this!
The other thing I would also ask to add in is the ability to add a link to this header image. This is a very common thing on a lot of emails that I have hand coded for clients but now can't do this on the template builder side of things unless I export it and re-upload it after editing it manually.
Hi Ant, I've most certainly added your vote for this, too. We sure know it - not so long ago, we found ourselves wanting to add a link a header image in one of our monthly newsletters and egads! :D
Yeah being able to link the header image would be nice... that's the part most people only get to before they click on the next email... So being able to direct them to a site strait off the bat would be excellent..
I'd never let my clients upload their own header image tho... God knows what kind of cheesy crap they would put up there! Fluro orange star bursts most likely.. But would be useful for some..
The builder is awesome! I personally would love to see a bit more flexibility with it tho...
Being able to add a logo in the top left background area would be awesome,
With the builder I'm forced to place a logo in the header image, I'd love it if I had the header space solely for an image...
Also being able to put the "Web Version | Unsubscribe" bar somewhere else would be good too.. like maybe just below the header???
With these 2 alts it would be almost possible to do anything!
God I love this app!
Haha, I share your fears, drumup! Thank you so much for these great suggestions - we'll look at whether we can add more variations like this to our template builder like this. Stay posted to our blog for updates :)
This is just a quick note to let you know that our template builder now supports adding links to header images. Thanks for your patience while we worked on this improvement.
