Adding an embedded Google Map

I added an embedded Google Map (using code supplied by Google) to my email template, which looks fine in Preview in Campaign Monitor. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up when I send myself a test mail. Any ideas why and what I can do to make it work? The tag I'm using is <iframe>.

Hi,

Iframes won't work in email, you'll want to just use the script to generate the map, then save it as a static image. Then you can include that image in your email.

Thanks, Matthew. I will do that. How come it worked in the Preview?

It works in the preview because preview displays your html in your web browser - which supports the iframe tag and javascript unlike your email client.

weejames is right - the preview in a browser can never replicate all the different rendering conditions of email clients, so test emails are the way to go.

Trusting the preview to much leads to trouble (learned it the hard way!). Any external stuff like maps, Flash, or JS is best to link to.
