Segment Lists Advice Needed

I wonder of someone can help me with the following problems I am a newbie to campaign monitor by the way.
I have an email list of 800 plus subscribers and wish to split the mailshot over 4 days .e.g mailshot 200 per day.
Do i just create a segment and call each one mon, tues, wed, and thurs.
Also some of our subscribers press the read reciept option on emails so we have set another office email address to cope with this, to stop our offie mailbox being overloaded.
Which email address generates the read reciept is the from address or the reply to address.

There are a couple of things you can do here:

- Create 4 segments and a 'Day' custom field with 4 values and send one campaign to a segment for each of those 4 days (like you mentioned)
- Use a spreadsheet program to split your list into 4 separate lists (not really advisable)
- If you're trying to throttle your send, send your campaign as an A/B split test for 50% of your subscribers, spread over 4 days:

You can spread out the A/B test over up to 5 days!

Which email address generates the read reciept is the from address or the reply-to address.

This depends on the email client - some forward read receipts and bounce notifications to the From: address, others, the Reply-to:. You may want to read this related discussion for further details.

Overall, the best way to deal with these read receipts is to create a rule/filter so they get filed in a folder, then just review them later. I hope this helps!
