Salesforce Connector and automated emails to leads from record owner

Submitted this question to CM support yesterday, and still awaiting a reply, so posting here, too.

Is it possible to use CM with the Salesforce Connector to send automated emails to new leads at defined intervals with a defined FROM user that matches lead owner? On new lead creation and then at defined intervals X, Y, and Z days following new record creation?

Salesforce workflow rules do not permit sending of emails from lead record owner, so exploring other options.

Thanks for the reply. For the new ticket, I used your online form.

I also didn't get an email notification that you had replied here in your forums, which would be nice to have that as the default behavior, without having to subscribe manually, as I now see I can do.

The email notification for your reply worked fine since I manually subscribed to this thread, but again, I shouldn't have to do that if I create or post in a thread - it should happen automatically. :)

Also, it looks like I have to login every time I come back to visit the forums, so if you're improving things, that would be an area to improve, too (keep logged in).

We have very active community forums (http://community.articulate.com/forums/) and lots of experience here, so if you're looking for other ideas, let me know!

Hi Gabe, I just received a response from Han at SNB Apps:

Sending campaign emails I think should be done by CM's "autoresponder" functionality. Some things he mentioned are possible but some not:

- Our connector can help him by automatically subscribing a lead when it is created from web-to-lead, using our extension package

- Once a lead is subscribed to a CM list, that list can be set up for autoresponders so emails with certain intervals can be sent

- What is not possible I suspect is making the From user to the lead owner. In CM you can set up the From email for each CM email campaign or autoresponder, but this can be only a hard-coded email value, and cannot be personalised (Ros, please correct me if I'm wrong). We are planning to support CM custom fields in the next release, but even with that, the From address in autoresponder cannot use personalisation (I think) so it is not possible.

Thanks, Rosanne. It doesn't sound like it'll help us for the drip campaigns then (we ended up coding our own solution for the initial email to lead from lead owner).
