I was wondering how many of you add disclaimers, especially if your email campaigns are offering tips/advice/general info?
Is this a general practice to do for campaigns and should I suggest to my clients' campaigns?
Hi Julia. What type of disclaimers are you talking about? Something like a permission reminder over how the individuals was subscribed? Or a disclaimer over any liability due to incorrect usage of a tip that caused something to blow up? :)
Hi dpotter, exactly - it would be a disclaimer over any liability due to incorrect usage of a tip that caused something to blow up. I will be going to seek legal counsel about this, but I was wondering how many others provide a statement in their email (since I didn't really see anything in the galleries that people used them).
You see those disclaimers a lot more from banks and financial institutions, who tend to use their internal tools understandably to send email.
We do see them on emails from law firms, financial planners etc.
