List Unsubscribe Settings

Using the web interface, I can configure a list so when someone unsubs, they are only unsubbing from the specific list and not from every list. How do I flag this using the API? I can't see it mentioned anywhere.

Thanks

Mike

Hey there Mike, it's only possible to change your list unsubscribe settings via the web app, I'm sorry to say. Making these changes via the API is something we've had a few requests for, so I'd be happy to add your vote for this internally and let you know if it's something we change in a future update. Sorry about this trouble!

So just to clarify, based on the default behaviour, if someone is on lists A and B, and they unsub from List A, when I download the unsubs from List B via the API, they will show as having unsubbed from List B too. This is not only wrong but will skew the stats on how many have unsubbed from List B.
Please add my vote for this change.

Hey again, by default, if someone unsubscribes from List A, they will be marked as unsubscribed from List A only and added to your account's suppression list. They will not be marked as unsubscribed from List B (however, will not receive email, unless removed from the suppression list).

I've certainly added your vote to have settings changed via the API - by all means get in touch if we can clarify things further :)

Hey all,

We can finally offer you the ability to set list unsubscribe settings via the API. We're sorry it took so long to appear. We just have a massive number of feature requests, and it only makes sense to prioritise them by how many people have requested them. So this one has finally been included.

Please check the API docs for details. You'll also see this feature in the latest version of all our officially supported API wrappers.

Hope that helps!

Only just seen this. I'm using it now. One less thing for my users to have to remember.
Thanks for adding it.
