I have two different email campaigns but some of the subscribers are on both lists. I want to know if there is a way to automatically remove subscribers from one campaign once they have clicked a specific link on the other?
Hi there ingram, your best bet is to consolidate these lists into one and use custom fields and a preference center to allow your subscribers to manage their subscriptions. For example, you can have a multi-option custom field for 'subscriptions' and values like 'product announcements' and 'monthly newsletter'. Using segments, you can then send to either group with ease.
The issue with the scenario you've described is that when a subscriber clicks the 'remove me from x list' link, there my be the inherit assumption that they're unsubscribing from the campaign they just received. Also, consolidating your lists is better for list cleanliness, management and keeping your costs down.
Thanks ingram - please let us know if you have any questions about the above.
