Just wondering how long approval REALLY takes ...
My client has been about a week and a half (since April 5th) with no word. We also sent an email to customer support on the same day with no response as of yet.
We have used the service without any problems 2-3 times a month for over year now and it seems like we've just been forgotten about. Can anyone care to comment or share experiences similar to mine or am I just one of those customer who has fallen through the proverbial cracks.

We've actually already replied to your email to support - I can absolutely assure you that we always respond to approvals in 12 hours or less (usually much less). It may possibly be that something has not got through to us, but we will need to follow that up through support.
Slinky Music specifically has already been contacted multiple times today, so perhaps this is a different account you are speaking about.
I just put a campaign of 12,000 plus emails in for approval but I need it to go out as soon as possible. Our client The Weinstein Company (a film house) needs this email to reach their recipients tonight (EST). It is currently 7pm here. All of the emails I added registered through this site....http://registration.weinsteinco.com/
We were not aware that there would be a 12 hour wait period for this blast.

Please understand we had a bad experience with an unanswered email from your customer support page so we figured we might be waiting a similar time to get account approval. If I sounded a little dismayed then it was because I assumed that unanswered emails to support would mean that our approval might also take some time.
You have resolved our issue and we continue to look forward to using the service in the future.
