How do I control a link styling on a <singleline>

Hi
I want to be able to add a link to a title which uses a <singleline> tag. I have added the styling within the <singleline style="colour:#5b4404">text</singleline> however this does not maintain the styling for the link. How do I make it so the title always appears with defined styling when the link is added?
Thanks

Michelle

Hey there Michelle, thanks for contacting us about styling and <singleline> tags - we're happy to help with this :) Unfortunately, styling like this can be problematic, so you would probably be better off adding the following to your code:

CSS:
h1 a, h1 a:visited { color: #5b4404; text-decoration: none; }

HTML:
<h1><singleline>Your default title here</singleline></h1>

Thanks, Michelle! Let us know how you go :)

Inline:

<a href="" style="color: #000001; text-decoration: none; font-weight: bold;"><singleline>Here is a hyperlink</singleline></a>

This will allow the user to update ONLY the text with the link and color pre set in the template (outside the singleline editable areas). I'm guessing you want to be able to update the actual link/colors in the editor though...

The way to do this is to switch over to the code view and add the style="" css to your <a href> tag, not the <singleline> tag. When all said and done, it should look like this with the <singleline> outside the editable bits:

<singleline><a href="" style="color: #000001; text-decoration: none; font-weight: bold;">Here is a hyperlink</a></singleline>

That's certainly a solid approach, JohnP - personally, i'd still go for the CSS approach as CSS is inlined at send time and requires less effort than individually styling links. Happy to add a request for more flexible editing options in the editor, though :)
