I would like to see some discussion on how Campaign Monitor can be integrated into an online event registration site in a manner similar to Constant Contact ( a subscription based service provider of online event registration, email marketing, etc)
I am not a developer; I am a business person having an online event registration site developed. I am not sure if my developer is familiar enough with Campaign Monitor to have it integrated into the online event registration site in an identical manner as Constant Contact.
If anyone here is familiar with Constant Contact I would appreciate if you can elaborate on how Campaign Monitor can work with an online event registration site in a manner similar or identical to Constant Contact.
Hi again buddybear, while we don't have a built-in event registration service, we do integrate well with existing, popular event apps like Eventbrite and Guestlist. Alternately, you can use the form app, Wufoo. All these apps can be setup to automatically add new registrants to a Campaign Monitor list.
Alternately, your developer can use our API to develop a custom integration between the event site and your Campaign Monitor account.
By all means, put your developer in touch with us if he would like additional details about anything I've mentioned above - our technical staff are always happy to assist. Thanks, buddybear! happy to help you out here, too :)
I was just bugging Ros and Phil about suggestions for sending invitations, and then came across this. The Eventbrite and Guestlist integrations look pretty promising, and I'm wondering if there are good tips for how to manage registration via buttons from an invitation message, etc. I see a great topic for a CM guide, guys!
...and I mean how to get the buttons working with the integrated event site, maybe akin to Ros's previous advice about connecting buttons with mailing list segments, but tying into Eventbrite or Guestlist.
Hey there Patrick, writing a guide on event management is a great idea. We're probably likely to hold off for just a little while, as there is the possibility that we'll have a better solution to document soon.
In the interim, you may want to see our walkthrough on using custom fields with Wufoo - a lot of this information is out there, but just tucked away somewhere in the blog :P
