I have a client who uses Constant Contact, they use this because it integrates directly with their CRM system. Ideally we do not want to be using this as I think the functionality is poor and templating language is diabolical. Campaign Monitor offers a much more flexible way for clients to manage their own email campaigns.
We are already a customer with you so we want to migrate all of the clients data (lists, list members, custom fields etc) all over to CM.
The problem is migrating the data... I have looked at the API for constant contact, this is OK, but limits requests to 50 contacts and the documentation is not up to scratch.
Can anyone tell me anyway I can sync Constant Contact with CM EASILY?
Or am I barking up the wrong tree here?
Hi Fitzgenius, you're not barking up the wrong tree at all! In my opinion, the easiest way to make a break from your clients' existing provider is to export all subscriber details as a spreadsheet and re-arrange the fields for import (if necessary) into an existing Campaign Monitor subscriber list. You may have to recreate a couple of custom fields in the process, but hopefully this won't take too long.
There aren't any integrations specifically for migrating providers, however during the migration process, you may find integrations like Zapier to be useful for automatically adding new subscribers from a provider's list to a CM list.
Keep in mind that we integrate with quite a few CRM apps - you can see a full list here.
Thanks, Fitzgenius! If there's anything we can help out with on our end, be sure to let us know :)
