I'm trying to add an editable link to my template using <singleline>, however I'd like it to essentially have a 'default' value, i.e. the client can change it if they wish to, but won't necessarily do so.
As an example, it would usually be something like:
<a href="http://www.onlinestore.com" style="color: red; text-decoration: none;"><singleline>Shop Online</singleline></a>
But occasionally, for instance, they would like to be able to change that link to something specific, e.g.
<a href="http://www.onlinestore.com/productname" style="color: red; text-decoration: none;"><singleline>New Product Available</singleline></a>
However, when editing this link via the Campaign Monitor editor, it pulls in the entire codeblock into the text editor field (i.e. including the anchor / html), not just the string between the <singleline> tags.
Is there a way to prevent this, or otherwise achieve what I am trying to do here?
Hi there dmcphee, unfortunately it isn't possible as yet to create a 'default' link for <singleline> (and our other editable areas). For now, you'll have to add a link via the editor, everytime.
It's something that we've had requested from time to time, so we'll certainly keep you posted if we add this in a future update. So sorry for the trouble here!

I keep getting requests for this exact feature. Is this still not possible? Or by chance has this been added and you have only forgotten to update this thread (fingers crossed)?
