Inline images in RSS

Hello friends and experts.

We use Contao/Typolight for our blog and it throws out an RSS feed with inline images (i.e. within the <description>.

These are pulled into CM OK, but it seems I have no influence over the size of the images in CM, so the wide ones are breaking the design.

Does anyone know of a way of resizing images that are in the inline html and don't have the rss image attribute?

Best wishes from Vienna!

Hi Jonathan, you're always welcome here! Issues like this can be a bit tricky, if you can't control the output from your blog. However, if you can edit your template's CSS styles, you can likely manage things by adding the following:

.rssarticle img { max-width: 300px !important; height: auto; /*or whatever fits in your template */ }

As any CSS in <head> is inlined prior to send, this should hopefully adjust any imported images to suit. Thanks, Jonathan! Let us know how you go :)

Ah Ros. I don't know how I even manage to brush my teeth without you.

Works a treat. Thank you!

Now, can you get my colleagues to write more blog posts ...

Haha, jonathan - "I don't know how I even manage to brush my teeth without you" - that totally made my week! Please remind me to use that in conversation sometime. ;)

As always you're very welcome - and yes, your friends should write more!
