I just read the new guide; Landing in the inbox, and am wondering about the chapter on "Improving your Email Content". It says not to use URLs as text in emails that it could make the email look like spam, however I have never heard that before and wanted to find out if anyone else had? Is there documentation to back this up? Is it also true for email addresses?
Thanks so much!
Hi there V, thanks for taking a look at the guide! We've actually discovered that this triggers warnings in email clients like Thunderbird from our own tests. I don't think email addresses do the same, as we don't change the mailto: url, as is done when making regular URLs trackable. I hope that answers your questions :)
This is fantastic and just what I was looking for - y'all are the best!
You're always very welcome - glad we could help!
