Not sure if anyone ever posted about this (couldn't find anything), but as a creative way of making the <repeater> template labels stand out in the drop-down, you can simply add code within the <layout> labels themselves:
<repeater> <layout label="<font color='#000000'>Black Template</font>"> Content Here </layout> <layout label="<font color='#ff0000'>Red Template</font>"> Content Here </layout> </repeater>
In edit mode in the drop-down , "Black Template" will now appear black, "Red Template" red.
Brian, a clever solution here, as always! Happy to give this one a shout out, nice work :D
Funny solution. Good job.
This is perfect. I have just completed a template build for a client. They have identical layouts inside the <repeater> but are all different colours to match up to parts of the business. Saw this a few days ago and decided to build it into the end product.
They now have a multicoloured menu and I have an impressed boss!! About to use it on next build later this morning.
Are there any other custom things I could do, like maybe:
<layout label="<text-align='Left'>Menu Item</text-align>">
Thanks again, better get building.
mailto_man, you could experiment with something like...
<layout label="<span style="width: 200px; text-align: left;">Menu Item</span>">
... or something like that. I haven't tested this personally, but you never know ;)
Thanks Ros, but I'm sad to report so couldn't get anything to work. The SPAN is a bit of a no go.
I can stop it working quite easily, but I couldn't manage to change 'Text-align or menu highlight colour' which were the only 2 I really wanted to custom.
Thanks for replying, you must have hundreds.
You're very welcome, mailto_man - I try to get back to everyone and hey, I really enjoy doing what I can. :) if there's anything we can test out for you here, be sure to let us know.
