Maybe I'm missing something obvious - but is there a way to add the current date in the header of a template that's built using the template builder? Using the usual <currentmonth> <currentday>, <currentyear> tags?
Or would I need to export the template builder template, edit it manually and then import it back in as a regular template?
Hi there lischq - you will need to export the template builder template, edit it manually and then import it back in as a regular template if you would like to add our date tags. That said, you can add our tags to any multiline editable region via the editor, if that makes things easier. Hope that clarifies things!
Okiedoke, thanks! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't making extra work for myself :)
I would love it if the date tags and a few personalisation options could be included in the Template Builder.
Perhaps the interface could be similar to the "Footer" window with fields for "Personalisation" or alternatively a number of checkboxes with most commonly used Personalisation features that you could check to include Date, Name etc...
The Template Builder is a superb option when assisting small projects and pro-bono type work for non profits. Exporting and modifying the template is a less appealing if it's only to grab date info and you don't want to give up the standardisation benefits! :)
Is adding date tags to the Template Builder on the radar for 2014 or not on the current schedule? If it is I might delay fiddling...
