Social media buttons when using template builder

I'm adding content to an email template I built using the template builder.  I want to add social media buttons.  NOT buttons for people to share my campaign but "follow me" buttons to my own FB, Twitter, Linkedin etc pages.

I generated some social media button codes using a free online generator and then simply copied and pasted the generated code into on of the 'Description' panels (left hand panel) of my email content window.   The buttons appear all fine but they're aligned vertically rather than horizontally.  This is probably a CSS issue but as you can't access or amend the style sheets, I'm at a loss.

Can anyone help?

Ideally I'd like to put these buttons in the footer of my email.  But I have no idea how to do that either.

as i'm finding out the template builder is woefully under featured. Can't even select a weight for heading styles! Nor Footer background colour & you can even make the spacer full width. This is for very basic email only.
