I am unable to add the nessecary values to my DNS Settings so I can verify my sent email. My ISP (quiet rightly) points our that I have a dedicated Server WITHOUT support, so tuff nuggets.
I use Plesk and go to the Settings of the domain. There i click DNS settings and "Add Record". There I have a drop menu from which i chose "TXT" as can be seen here:
but I get the following Error:
My System is Suse Linux, Apache 2, PHP 4.5, on a virtual Server.
What to do? This is the first time that I have ever "touched" the DNS settings, so be gentle with me!
Thank you for tipps in advance :)
Unfortunately some Plesk setups don't support the underscore in the TXT name ( cm._domainkey)
This is a required part of the domainkeys spec and totally valid, but some systems are not setup to allow it. You may have to contact your host and ask them if they can manually add it for you.
Just FYI - this was fixed in Plesk 8.3:
After my host put me on a server with 8.3, I was able to add the record and verify my domain in no time.
Thanks for the update Phend, that's great news.
