Okay, I think I get it now!

So, I was creating a campaign through the API, and then modifying the HTML before I sent it out. But what it looks like as soon as I create the campaign it imports the HTML link into campaign monitor!

So, i need to create my HTML page BEFORE I create the campaign through the API.

I was thinking that I would create it, edit the page and then send it!

Yes, it works the same way with the API as it does through the web interface - you import the complete HTML into your account and send it.

Well, yes and no I guess.

The HTML is defined at create time whereas the content of the subscriber list seems to be defined at send time. At least that is what my tests seemed to show. In other words if I create a campaign and add a subscriber list, and then subsequently add another name to the list it will include this name.

This makes sense...I am just finding my way around the api so I can offer my clients an easy way to send campaigns from our application.

We just need to modify our app to create the campaign after the newsletter has been finished instead at create time.
