RSS Inline Images and Gmail

I am having a issue with inline images and gmail. the images are displayed in the RSS feed in this example below.

<img src="http://grantdigital.com.au/syndic8/content/2014/09/09/remiparker_41b7a.jpg" width="600" height="361" alt="remiparker 41b7a" />

This issue is that even tho I have image height set to be auto as in example below.

.article-content img { height:auto !important; max-width: 20%; float:left; padding-right:10px; }

The issue with gmail change the height style to be min-height which then makes the image show at the height set in the height attribute and the width to the now max-width.

<img alt="willandkate 3c20a" height="399" src="https://ci4.googleusercontent.com/proxy/skFhMxPLF6sh1V-rTYJXOTzaWSYu2zweEng9NEDgZHXIpAjm1Dkori7PBZ75zeZSS4FykdwNRKNmIEA2hkcjvmf4HEmwg-WVdYohdgLH_zuZPVR5dOxJuTPg9JOTieoBAw=s0-d-e1-ft#http://grantdigital.com.au/syndic8/content/2014/09/09/willandkate_3c20a.jpg" width="600" style="line-height:100%;outline-style:none;text-decoration:none;display:block;min-height:auto!important;max-width:20%;float:left;padding-right:10px">

Here is a example of what the email looks like in gmail. Is there any way to remove the image attributes when importing the RSS feed?
