we have a bit of an issue with background images in Outlook. I know, we all hate them, but hey, we also all have clients who like backgrounds :). Checked with support, but they advised me to ask the forum about it.
*** Fact: ***
I used this link as a first aid:
I also used http://backgrounds.cm/, but for some reason (doctype?) this didn't work out well.
*** Result: ***
All seems to go well, when applying a background image to a table cell.
Tested 5 runs to finetune everything, but I keep having an issue with Outlook 2013 in testrun. Only in this version we seem to have the image cut of on the bottom (rest of background image looks like it's "rendered" in black color)
All other clients (even Outlook) seem to be fine.

I googled a bit and it seems Outlook max height is 1782, the image we use
is only 1550px so this seems also ok.
