On our website, we have a form for the user to subscribe or unsubscribe to our newsletters. I'd like to be able to programmatically remove an email from the client-wide suppression list when the user subscribes, in case their email was previously on the list for some reason.
Is there a way to do this?
Can anyone from Campaign Monitor comment on this please?
There isn't a way to do that at this time. If they subscribe via a form though they'll be added to your active list despite being on the suppression list.
Unfortunately, won't their being on the suppression list still prevent them from receiving emails, even if they are on my active list? That is the issue I'm trying to work around.
Nope. The suppression list keeps you from importing them again yourself, but if they add themselves they become active on that list and will receive your campaigns.
