Hello All -
Recently gmail started ignoring cellspacing and cellpadding. It is adding a 2-3px space in between each row of images, which creates a line of the background color. This has become a problem since I am slicing large images for product emails. This results in lines across the models bodies and product shots. I have noticed that most of the product emails I have received lately are the same way.
Is there a way to eliminate the spacing in between each row without cellspacing or cellpadding? (Keeping in mind that gmail ignores most css)
I think this is the solution you're looking for:
Basically gmail renders images as inline instead of block. Your image tag should look something like:
<img src="image.jpg" style="display:block;" />
And the extra pixels below your images should be gone.
Thank you - I will test that now!
Nice - this worked. Thanks so much!
