Keyword Density

Keyword density is a mathematical equation that specifies how often a specific keyword should appear within content. While the idea of keyword density is often debated between marketing professionals, many feel that 3% is an acceptable density. If a keyword appears too often on a page, search engines will identify it as spam content, which pushes Google to downgrade the entire website ranking of that site.
