Duplicate Content

Duplicate content refers to large amounts of content found on either the same site or other sites that either completely matches or is very similar. This is often non-malicious, such as syndicated news items or standardized product information. It can sometimes, however, be a malicious attempt to manipulate search engine result placement. This can ultimately lead to not only a poor user experience but lower search rankings, as Google makes every attempt to eliminate such manipulation from search results.
