An influencer is a person who has a high level of impact on a specific area of interest. An influencer may be a journalist, celebrity or brand advocate who has a positive impact on a consumer’s buying or product interest behavior. For example, a Twitter post from a celebrity about a specific product will have huge gains for that business because of the sheer number of people who will see that post. Those followers may show a greater interest in the mentioned product as a result of seeing that specific post.
