    Great information for a newbie breaking into the marketing side of business development. Any advise as to how to filter that email list? In other words, how many years do you go back in your customer list to compile an effective email data base?

    We recommend only going back 6 months in your list as any longer and your contacts might not remember signing up with you. It’s also a good best practice to remind subscribers about why they are receiving an email like, “You’re receiving this email because you signed up to get new product announcements and offers on the XYZ website.”
