Schema.org

Founded by Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Russian search engine Yandex, Schema.org is a collaborative effort to structure microdata on the Internet and other forms of communications. Using schema microdata within a page’s HTML can help crawlers interpret a site’s content more accurately. Additionally, the use of schema microdata improves a site’s rich snippets, which can help a site appear more accurately in search engine result pages (SERPs).
